Our Mission:

Share flamenco with every corner of the globe.

We want to make it easier for you to study flamenco, perform and give people a place to share their experience of Flamenco.

Fisch & Sabby

Fisch & Sabby

We host The Flamenco Gypsy website and try our best to bring you flamenco from the heart of Spain. We live in Sevilla which is serious flamenco territory.

We have been studying flamenco with some of the best teachers and biggest names over our 2 years in Spain. We have both been students of the Cristina Heeren Foundation, as well as studying with other schools and private teachers.

Fisch at the Great Australian Bight

“Playing the guitar for many years I always loved the sound of Spanish Flamenco. Unfortunately we are so removed from flamenco in Australia. So I decided to take the plunge and study full time in Spain.

It’s been a rough journey but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Everyday I am learning something new or refining skills.”

Sabby at Rinconada

“Being half Turkish and half Romanian dancing is in my blood.

I spent many years dancing Salsa and taught Zumba to help put myself through university. When we made the move to Spain and I started dancing flamenco I realised my true passion. Everyone I meet is surprised how naturally I have taken to this art.

I love the power and emotion displayed in flamenco. Fisch & I make a great team and we enjoy everything we do.”

We both can’t wait to return to Australia and share our knowledge of flamenco but until then we’ll keep hard at work refining our skills. Oh, and blogging of course.

A big thanks to all the helping hands we have had on our blog.

There are many past students, teachers and professionals who have added to our posts, rewritten their own or are planning to contribute. To all of you, Mucho Gracias!!

If you’re interested in adding to our blog don’t hesitate to contact us 🙂
